Programming for Kids in Stockholm!

Do you live in Stockholm? Would you like to give an opportunity for your kids to learn programming?

* Coderdojo Stockholm : I work here as mentor and volunteer on Saturdays to teach Scratch programming for kids. Young kids (age 7 to 17 years) can come here and explore the programming opportunities.
There are mentors to teach Scratch, Maths/Game programming, Javascript, HTML, Python based on the child interest. We also help with specific project/assignment, which your child might be interested to do on his/her own.

I had a great chance to meet and know other mentors, who are very smart and intelligent and have great patience to answer every question raised by the kids.

Kids without any programming knowledge can walk-in here with a tab or laptop, we will help them to start, explore and become a programmer!

How to register for the event? A week before the event, announcements will be made on EventBrite and Facebook pages with a URL to register and it's mandatory to register before attending the event.

Are there any fees? No, it's absolutely free and there is no commercial motive behind this initiative except igniting young minds with innovation :-)
Can I also be a mentor or volunteer? Yes, you can also be a mentor, if you can teach any of the programming languages or can be a volunteer, if you can help with any tasks. You can come to one of our Saturday event and discuss further.

* HelloWorld : They offer meetups every Sunday for kids aged from 8 to 18 years with a specific curriculum or programming track that you child chooses! They offer 3D CAD, 3D Modeling, Web Design, Python, Lua/Minecraft, Game development or come for assistance for a specific project.

They also have summer camps for 9 weeks at Ågesta just south of Stockholm with two categories : Youth (12 to 18 years) and Junior (8 to 11 years).
