School for Children from Age 7 years onward in Stockholm, Sweden

Sweden has compulsory education for children from 6 years to 16 years of age. When kid is 6 years old, he or she should be sent to Pre-school to prepare school for next year. You can still apply for the school by finding email id of respective school and send them details via email.

How much is the school fee?

Children Day Care, Pre-School or förskola in Stockholm, Sweden

Up to Age 6 years : Pre-School or förskola
Children from 1 year age to 6 years old can be sent to Pre-school or förskola. Day care is from Age of 1 year to 5 years. Then during the Year 6, they are prepared to send to school next year when they turn 7 (to send to Grade 1).

In general, Swedish pre-schools are excellent, they take care of kids very well. Each Pre-school has a different number of kids but there would be a care taker for a group of 5 or 6 kids. Hence, we need not worry about their care when they are in day care.

How to apply for Pre-school or Day care or förskola ?
Visit this link and login with Mobile Bank Id. Most of the schools have very long queues. Hence, it's better to apply for child care as soon as child gets a personal number even if you want to send kid after 1 year or 2 year or 3 years with a future start date.

What are the Fees for Pre-school?
This is the most trickiest part and very interesting system as well, which I had not seen anywhere in the world. It's not very simple to understand.

Your child fee is depending on following factors:
1. Household income per month before tax (both parents)
2. How many children in the family
