It's about a middle school boy called Greg Heffley and his life. The book is his diary. His best friend Rowley, his brothers Rodrick and Manny and his parents Susan and Frank all have troubles and adventures together.
Book is perfect for children 7 - 15 years, especially boys in middle school would relate and LOVE this book, but girls would also like it.
There are multiple series of books (Read in any order) : A Novel In Cartoons, Rodrick Rules, The Last Straw, Dog Days, The Ugly Truth, Cabin Fever,The Third Wheel , Hard Luck, The Long Haul, Double Down, The Getaway, The Meltdown, Old School and Wrecking Ball.
These books are quite funny to read and enjoy but they are narrated with some unrelated topics.

Is about a highschool girl named Nikki and her troubles. This book is her beloved diary. Her best friends Chloe and Zoey always help and save her while her enemy Mackenzie always gets her into trouble. She also has a crush, Brandon. Her family is just very embarrassing. Very exciting and once you start reading, you won't stop!
Perfect for 8 + years children.

Tom Gates by Liz Pichon
Is about a fifth grader named Tom Gates. He is an expert at doodling and making jokes with his best friend Derek. Mr. Fullerman, his teacher with beady eyes and superhuman hearing, always gets Tom into trouble. Tom has a very embarrassing family, with an annoying (and maybe alien!) sister and a very annoying classmate. He, Derek and his classmate Norman also have a band together. It is very fun to read the book. Read them and judge yourself!
Great book for all ages.

There are so many books by Roald Dahl but my favorites are Matilda and The Witches. I watched Matilda movie as well. I read The Witches multiple times. Each story is different and most of them contain magical objects and children. Sometimes these books have long poems, which are little boring to read. There are books for different ages not just children! These books have pictures illustrated by Quentin Blake.
Amelia Bedelia Books by Peggy Parish
The books are about a girl named Amelia Bedelia, who is very silly and kind. They are easy to read and understand. I read my first book when I was 7 years old and I laughed a lot. All my family members also liked the story a lot. There are different types of books like Chapter books and regular books.
